The latest! The new and improved website is scheduled to launch January 1st 2010. . .we are working in collaboration with Cocoon Branding and Canada's Web Shop to create a rocking new site. We plan to have local event listings, health and nutrition tips, maybe even the local weather;) And of course it will serve as a place to buy Gorp Bars and leave feedback and all that good stuff! Can't wait. Trials with the cutting machine are under way and the kitchen is painted and doors are hung. I'll be searching the countryside for deals on 3 compartment sinks and stainless steel worktables for the next few weeks/month and then we should be rocking and rolling. . .ready for 2010!

Hello all! Well. . .there is actually danger of us moving forward! I have personally just laid eyes on the almost finished custom made energy bar making machine we have been working on/tweaking for the last few months. . .whoop whoop. Since existing machines found it facinating to turn our awesome recipe into unrecognizable sludge. . .this machine will rock. Can't wait to launch this thing. . . hello December.. . maybe. . ..just in time to fight the Christmas bulge. . perfect!

O.K, so we have spent the last few months formulating, testing, sourcing and of course taste testing. Our bars are in shelf life testing as we speak and a launch date is closing in fast! Yes, as promised The Great Gorp Project is on the way.
The "Project" is our mission. To provide tasty, functional fuel for your active life. AND. . . while doing so we want to think big and affect our earth for the better. Looking at the world through the cab of a tractor we feel agriculture is the lifeblood of a community, so supporting third world agricultural development is first on our agenda. Second, we are focusing in on kids. . . "Right to Play" is an organization helping kids from war torn countries remember that they are still kids and have an intrinsic right to blow off steam and play, play, play. . . .our future is at stake, we have to care, we have to try.
Well, enough of my ramble. . . think, fly, roar.

We were hoping to have our gorp bars for sale and an actual "official website" by December (2008), however we ran into some "production" challenges when it came to actually forming the bars. Our first method ended up crushing them sooooo much that it actually altered the taste and biting/chewing experience. We couldn't have that so we are experimenting with another method that looks extremely promising. . . .sooooo. . . our new launch date looks like winter 2010! Sorry we couldn't have the bars out to you sooner, we appreciate all the feedback and interest. We need these bars to be perfect, so onwards and upwards. With all this extra time on our hands we have decided to plan a big event for launch, very exciting stuff, stay tuned!
